The Man 

Dr. Gregory Thornton was born in Milwaukee, WI on July 28, 1971.  He was raised on the eastside of Milwaukee where he faced most of his life’s  challenges. As a  teenager he began to sell  drugs and later became  one of the  most  prominent  drug  dealers  on  his  side  of  town.  While  living  this  life of sin  he witnessed many of his comrades addicted to drug, murdered and incarcerated but God sustained him.

Not knowing that the hand of God was upon him, Dr Thornton’_s life began to go into a downward spiral. Dr. Thornton began to drink habitually and use drugs more extensively and this caused him to go into a deep depression where there seemed to be no way out. He tried constantly to commit suicide but once again God sustained him.

The Ministry   

 Dr. Thornton is an innovative vision driven man of God.  On May 6, 2001 Dr. Thornton was ordain Pastor of  "Committed  To Christ International Ministries" by his  spiritual  father,  Apostle  Walter  Leigh  Bates  of  Balm  In  Gilead,  “For  All People Ministries” along with his adorable wife, Co_-Pastor Deloris Bates.    

Dr. Thornton is also the Founder and President of Greg Thornton Ministries Inc., and  Kingdom Builders International  Fellowship Inc. God has continued to show Dr.  Thornton  tremendous  favor!  He was affirmed and consecrated into P.H.I.P.A  <Potter’s House International  Pastors Alliance> by Bishop  T.D Jakes of The Potter’s House Dallas Texas.  He  has also become a member of Grace International fellowship where the Presiding  Bishop  is non-other than  the Honorable R. J. Burt.

The Mandate

Dr. Thornton is a cutting-edge Pastor who prolifically delivers the Word of God with simplicity and clarity. God has anointed  him to rightfully divide the truth.  He is an educated  ecclesiastical preacher/teacher. He earned his Associates and Bachelors Degree in Biblical Studies at Midwest Bible College and later he earned his Masters in Christian Counseling and a Doctorate Degree in Divinity, from Agape Love Bible College, both in Milwaukee, WI.

Dr.  Thornton  ministers  in  various  areas  in  the  United  States  and  abroad.  Having  traveled  to London England, Paris France, Israel, and Jerusalem, Dr. Thornton realizes that he also has an international calling upon his life. God has blessed him to preach the gospel in the Caribbean Islands, and travel to places like Kenya, South Africa on foreign missions, ministering to spiritually deficient and impoverished people.

The Marriage

Out of all that has been said, Dr. Thornton’s heart is totally devoted to his wife and family. Dr. Thornton along with his lovely and adorable wife Dr.  Joyce Thornton, cohesively shepherd Committed  to Christ International Ministries in Milwaukee Wisconsin. He is the blessed father of five saved and gifted children and an elated grandfather of eight adorable granandchildren.
